| This beautiful house was built in 1938 on the Kerkweg in Maarssen. In the time of the New Objectivity, 'Traditionalism' emerged as a counterpart. The characteristics (rural, brick, gabled roofs) of that counter-movement are clearly visible in this house, as are Berlage's influences. The building does not have monument status. | |
Deze fraaie woning is in 1938 aan de Kerkweg te Maarssen gebouwd. In de tijd van de Nieuwe Zakelijkheid ontstond als tegenhanger het 'Traditionalisme'. De karakteristieken (landelijk, baksteen, puntdaken) van die tegenbeweging zijn in dit huis duidelijk te zien als ook de invloeden van Berlage. Het pand heeft geen monumentstatus. |
